Building Skills: A Celebration of Learning Through Clubs

The second term club displays from April 21- May 02, 2025 were a vibrant celebration of creativity, learning, and talent.

The event began with a powerful mime by the pupils of the Theatre Club on climate change and its impact on living creatures. The emotional act portrayed a tree’s struggle to survive and regrow, symbolizing hope and renewal and served as a visual reminder of our responsibility toward nature. The Theatre Club also presented another play titled Humari Anokhi Adaalat, a creative courtroom scene where people arrived with their complaints and suffering, only to discover that the solutions to their problems lay within themselves. This imaginative and insightful play encouraged self-awareness and personal responsibility in dealing with life’s challenges.

The Music Club gave an inspiring performance featuring a range of instruments, including the tabla, harmonium, drum, guitar, and piano. It was a proud moment as Primary Section students played the tabla and harmonium for the first time in front of the entire school, demonstrating both skill and confidence.

The Sports Club added excitement with action-packed demonstrations of throwball, basketball, and futsal, each showcasing teamwork, coordination, and athletic ability.

April 25th was a particularly eventful day, filled with a series of engaging club displays. The Skating Club dazzled the audience with their balance and coordination on wheels, executing smooth and confident moves. The Yoga Club followed with a serene performance, presenting a series of postures that highlighted mindfulness, balance, and flexibility. The Puzzles Club invited the audience to think critically as they solved Sudoku, mazes, and jigsaw puzzles, turning the experience into a fun and interactive challenge. The Gardening Club showcased their green thumbs with a colourful display of fruits and vegetables grown in pots, underlining the importance of sustainability and hands-on learning. The STEAM Club drew attention with their innovative working models, especially a captivating earthquake model. This display was further enhanced by the Survival Club, which explained practical survival techniques for such emergencies, making it both informative and engaging. The Clay and Pottery Club featured beautifully crafted pieces made by students from Years 1 and 2, using techniques like coiling, cutting, and pottery wheel work, reflecting their creativity, focus, and fine motor skills.

The Chess Club impressed the audience with a creative human chess performance, followed by a competitive tournament that tested strategy and focus.

Similarly, the Scrabble Club held internal competitions across different levels, with winners from each level. Their command of language and strategic wordplay highlighted the club’s dedication to cognitive growth and vocabulary building. The Robotics Club proudly displayed their working robots, with pupils beaming as they saw their hard work and programming come to life through successful demonstrations. Finally, the Taekwondo Club held a Belt Promotion Test, where students were evaluated and promoted based on their strength, technique, and defensive skills, marking a proud moment of accomplishment and discipline.

Overall, the second term club displays provided an enriching platform for students to showcase their talents, share their learning, and express themselves across a wide range of disciplines. The event was a true celebration of teamwork, creativity, and growth, leaving both participants and the audience with a sense of pride and inspiration.
