On December 14, 2024, our students entertained their parents with a series of selected plays, showcasing the finest performances from earlier in-class theatre presentations. These plays were chosen for their creativity, impactful messages, and the pupils’ exceptional efforts.
Parents eagerly took their seats, and the performers were ready to take the stage. There was such excitement in the air!
The Primary Section began the evening with a captivating play about a magical land where nursery rhymes lived. The land was suddenly attacked by a pack of wolves, and the pupils amazed the audience with their energy and acting skills. Their dedication was evident, and the performance was met with loud applause.
The second play took the audience to a Friendship and Kindness Garden. Year 1 pupils portrayed flowers learning about kindness and friendship, charming everyone with the integrity in their words.
The third performance was a delightful journey into the past, showing teachers as children. Parents added to the fun by sharing anecdotes about their own school days. During transitions between plays, parents participated with feedback and games of riddles and tongue twisters, keeping everyone entertained while the stage was being for the next performance.
The final play from the Primary Section tackled the important issue of bullying and rudeness among classmates. While a few changes to the play and prop arrangements caused minor visibility issues, the pupils conveyed the message of kindness and respect with clarity.
After a brief interval, it was time for the Secondary Section to take the stage. Their parents settled into their seats, the performers were all geared up, and the atmosphere was alive with anticipation.
The first play highlighted the dangers of oversharing personal information online. Pupils delivered a powerful message about the mishaps of social media and the consequences of putting personal information and selfies online without thought. The audience was deeply moved by the relevance of the topic.
Next came a rendition of the classic PTV original, Taleem-e-Baligan by Khawaja Moinuddin. This humorous yet thought-provoking play exposed the corruption in the education system and how pupils and teachers were impacted by the system. The performance brought nostalgia for older viewers and laughter for everyone.
The final play delved into the concept of our inner-selves. It explored how people wear different masks to hide their true selves and please others. The emotional depth of the performance left the audience reflecting on their own lives, making it a memorable conclusion to the evening.
The night was a celebration of storytelling, creativity, and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. From laughter to heartfelt messages, the performances touched every emotion and highlighted the incredible talent of both pupils and teachers.
