We celebrated Sindhi Cultural Day during a vibrant morning assembly on December 16, 2024, dedicated to showcasing the rich traditions and language of Sindh. Performers and teachers added to the cultural ambiance by wearing traditional Sindhi Ajrak, Topis, and Saggi (Paranda), symbolizing pride in Sindhi heritage. The programme commenced with greeting, followed by Tilawat-e-Quran and translationall in the Sindhi language, emphasizing the importance of preserving and using regional languages in daily lives.
One of the main highlights of the event was a heartfelt speech delivered by a pupil, eloquently describing the cultural significance of Sindhi Dastkaari, Topi and Ajrak—symbols of Sindh’s identity and pride. The audience was captivated by the student’s fluency in Sindhi and the depth of her message. Adding to the excitement, the school choir took the stage to perform iconic Sindhi songs Adiyun Muhnjo Shalaro and Aly Muhnja Marwara. The harmonious performance of these cherished melodies became the showstopper of the event, as the audience enthusiastically clapped and sang along, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
The celebration was a true reflection of our dedication to fostering a sense of pride in keeping regional cultures and traditional languages alive.
