We had our Intra-School English Elocution Contest 2023-2024 on February 27, 2024. To avoid bias, we had the following external judges: Ms. Sunita Kaikhosrowzadah, a teacher from Mama Parsi Girls’ Secondary School, Ms. Rahima Yousuf from Dawood Public School and Ms. Munira from BVS Parsi School.

All our students participated in the various rounds of the Elocution Contest and were graded against a rubric for poem elocution. From each Year Group and each House, the three students with the highest scores then represented their respective House in the final round.

Primary section pupils were given humorous poems to memorise and they outdid themselves with their memorisation and delivery. They captured everyone’s attention with their performance. The primary section winners from Water House were Maria Sumair 1B, Anabiya Adeel 3B and Areej 4A. The winner from Air House was Erha Kamran 2C and Pareesa Danish 5B from Sun House.

This year, Secondary Section students were given the freedom to choose their own poems. They demonstrated admirable control and understanding of their poems. The winners from Water House were Anhar Fatima 6C and Noor-e-Ain Wasti 7A while the winners from Air House were Syeda Harmain Naqvi 8C and Syeda Ayesha Atif 9B. The winner from Sun House was Sarah Saad 10B.

Although there was only one winner from each year group, all our students performed exceptionally well. They were prepared and oozed confidence. Keep up the good work, girls!
