Workshop on Puberty for Mothers

On February 26, 2024 we invited mothers of our Year 5 and 6 students to attend a workshop which focussed on the importance of talking to their daughters about Puberty and to break the taboo, stereotypes and myths surrounding this critical stage of growth and development.  This particular workshop was in continuation of our collaboration with Ahung.

The primary purpose of this workshop was to provide guidance to mothers on how to talk to their daughters about puberty, their bodies and reproductive health. They were also given tips on handling their child’s moods and emotions during their transition to puberty. Additionally they were encouraged to talk about puberty to their sons as well.
