Art Educators’ Workshop: Bridging Creativity Across Diverse Classrooms

We are dedicated to ensuring our teaching staff keeps abreast and refreshed with new teaching techniques by ensuring they regularly attend relevant, engaging workshops and training sessions.

On February 6th, 2025, our Art Department attended a workshop organized by Discovering New Artists (DNA), “Bridging Educators: Unleashing Creativity Across Diverse Classrooms.” The session reinforced the school’s time-honored tradition and commitment to the importance of creative thinking, exploration, problem-solving, and innovation among students during art classes.

Key strategies discussed in the workshop aligned with our existing teaching practices such as; experimentation, collaboration, drawing inspiration (from various sources), the importance of reflective discussions, exhibiting art work created by the students, and the emphasis of process over product which allows students to appreciate their learning journey rather than just the final outcome.
