Year 10 had their Farewell Party hosted by Year 9 students on February 23, 2024 at 5.00 pm. By the time the last student left it was a little past 8.00 pm. Undeniably a memorable event, the evening was filled with choreographed dance performances, humorous skits about the direction of a film and an interview with Ms Bijli, and poetry with a modern twist on love stories. To top it all off, we enjoyed some catchy, trending music as well.
Needless to say, the Farewell was filled with lots of laughter. It was a bittersweet moment for our students. They shared stories about their teachers, performed a Thank You song and gave a speech to thank their beloved teachers. Year 9 students also gave a dedicated speech about the Year 10 Student Council members. It was quite an emotional day for our teachers as well, seeing their students grow up so quickly, watching them become young, independent, remarkable teenagers, which aligns perfectly with PECHS Girls’ School’s values. It was the perfect start to our weekend – making new, unforgettable memories. As we all know, there’s no party without food. Our Year 9 students treated us to delicious food, drinks and ice-cream.
Our hearts swell with pride as we see our year 10 students stand tall and confident, ready to walk through the doors of the PECHS Girls’ School and face the world. We wish them success and achievements where ever they go and in whatever they do.
