Cleanliness Drive – 14 October 2026

At our school, cleanliness and environmental responsibility have been promoted through various initiatives over the years. This year, these efforts are being further strengthened through the House Collaborative Project, which encourages students to work together and take responsibility for their surroundings.

As part of this project, a cleanliness drive was conducted on 14th October 2026, in accordance with government directives, to promote civic responsibility and environmental awareness among students.

Planning for the Drive

During the House Assembly in August, students discussed how and where to begin the cleanliness drive. They collectively decided to start with the area outside the school. The House Head and Coordinators inspected the site, and teams of teachers and students from each House and section were formed. A year-long schedule was also planned, with fortnightly and monthly follow-ups.

The Drive

Students from Years 4 to 10 participated enthusiastically alongside teachers and ancillary staff. Bringing cleaning materials from home, they worked together to clear litter from the roads, footpaths and areas surrounding the school. The activity helped students recognise how even a single wrapper contributes to waste and how collective efforts can make a difference. Dustbins were also installed outside the school to encourage responsible waste disposal.

The drive reinforced the importance of teamwork, civic responsibility and sustained efforts towards cleaner surroundings and healthier communities.
