Books vs Medals 2016

Thank you for participating in the survey conducted to settle the debate on books vs. medals as prizes for students’ achievements at the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony this year.

The long-standing tradition at the PECHS Girls’ School has been to award children with books for any and every achievement. This year, a debate emerged that our students are not happy with books anymore. Since the prize is given to honor them, we thought we would find out what they preferred.
A total of 759 families participated in the survey. There were 632 votes for medals and only 127 votes for books. So far, 201 survey forms have not been returned to us despite several reminders.
As you can see, the overwhelming response has been in favour of medals over books. We are disappointed at the results of our survey but we will honour the choice made by all of you for 2016.
