APD 2023-2024: A Celebration of Excellence and Inspiration

The Annual Prize Distribution (APD) for the Academic Year 2023-2024 was a day to remember, marked by celebrations of achievement, heart-warming performances and inspiring words that resonated with every attendee. Held in the school’s quadrangle, this much-anticipated event welcomed a packed audience of parents, students, and esteemed guests, each brimming with excitement. The day was a tribute not only to the students’ accomplishments but also to the collective spirit of growth and learning that defines our school.

The ceremony began on a serene note with a soulful recitation from the Holy Quran, setting a reflective tone for the day. Following this was the enthusiastic rendition of our school anthem, a piece that brought together students playing various instruments, filling the air with a vibrant, harmonious energy. The live performance by the students was nothing short of captivating, a testament to the talent and dedication fostered within our walls.

Our principal , Ms. Seema Malik, formally introduced the day’s Guests of Honour, Ms. Muskan Iqbal and Ms. Farhat Anjum. Their inspiring presence as Pakistan’s first female team to install solar panels was truly a highlight, serving as a powerful reminder that women are capable of excelling in all fields. Ms. Seema Malik’s own speech resonated deeply with the audience, not only celebrating the school’s achievements from the past year but also emphasizing the essential partnership between parents and school in nurturing young minds. She graciously thanked parents for their unwavering support, encouraging them to continue building strong emotional connections with their children, while trusting the school to deliver academic guidance and social-emotional learning.

A diverse array of achievements was celebrated throughout the event, recognizing students who excelled in various fields. Between these announcements, we were treated to delightful performances. Syeda Ayesha Hussain from Year 8D moved the audience with her rendition of “Humsafar,” capturing hearts with her voice. Syeda Fatima Zehra Year 10, winner of this year’s Jinnah Inter-School Declamation Competition shared her award-winning performance. She impressed everyone with her passionate delivery and powerful message. And the theatrical reading titled, Confessions of a Social Media Addict left the audience in deep thought. Both entertaining and insightful, the performance raised compelling questions on identity and self-worth, sparking discussions on the role of social media in our lives.

As the winners in categories such as English Poetry Elocution, Urdu Debate, and Academic Distinctions were announced, each one took the stage to a wave of applause. Students’ hard work, resilience, and passion for their respective crafts shone through, and it was a moment of joy for both the school and their families.

Following these celebrations, Ms. Muskan Iqbal took the podium to deliver an awe-inspiring speech, her words a beacon of empowerment. She encouraged every student, particularly young women, to aim high, underscoring that the sky is indeed the only limit. Her speech radiated confidence and left an indelible impression on everyone, reinforcing the school’s mission to foster a growth mindset and a drive to break barriers.

The day closed with a final performance by the school’s choir and band, leading the entire audience in a powerful rendition of the national anthem, uniting everyone in a beautiful moment of patriotism and shared pride. The celebration ended on an optimistic note, leaving all in attendance inspired and filled with hope for a bright future.
