PECHS Girls’ School honoured our students for their outstanding results on the evening of October 28, 2023. The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony 2022-2023 started with a beautiful Qirat recitation and translation, followed by the School Anthem.
Ms Seema Malik gave a wonderful introduction of Ms. Rafia Javed Mallah, our guest of honour. Ms Seema proudly announced the achievements of our students in both education and extra-curricular activities. She also went on to update the parents of our delightful students about the necessity of self-awareness and our school’s efforts and dedication
towards Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
As the event progressed, Ms. Rafia, Ms Seema and Ms Vira presented certificates and medals to our Primary and Secondary Section students. The certificates were given to the students who had full attendance throughout the year, Poem Elocution winners, Intra-Debate Competition winners, and Academic Position Holders of the AKU-EB exams. The 2022-2023 House Winner, Sun House, was also given a trophy to celebrate their success.
Year 10 presented a Choral Presentation on “I Am the People, The Mob” by Carl Sandburg and some beautifully sung Sindhi songs by our students. One of the songs was a poem written by our esteemed Guest who besides being a writer, is also a poetess and columnist.
The evening came to an end with Ms. Rafia’s and Ms Seema’s words of wisdom and insights about education. We, as a school, are very proud of our students’ accomplishments. It is indeed commendable that they excel in academics bringing in all A’s and A1’s (not a single B, C or D) and still be outstanding at extra-curricular activities. We sincerely congratulate them all!
The final highlight of the evening was a surprise from our School Band who treated us to a lovely rendition of our National Anthem.
