What happens when imagination meets teamwork and young learners take centre stage? In-Class Theatre brings all this and more to life! This year, pupils of Years 3 to 5 presented their performances on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, exploring meaningful themes such as climate change, social-emotional learning, teamwork, technology and media literacy, and women’s empowerment.
The journey began in September, with pupils and teachers working together over two months. Each year group had an acting team and a props team, with directors and, in Year 5, assistant directors playing key roles. Guided by the principle that less is more, we adopted a minimalist approach to props and settings, allowing the stories and performers to take centre stage.
The young actors impressed the audience with their confident and expressive performances. Students and teachers from the secondary section joined as the audience, encouraging and appreciating the young performers.
Beyond the performances, In-Class Theatre was a valuable learning experience. Through rehearsals and teamwork, pupils learnt to collaborate, negotiate differences and develop the confidence to face an audience. It was a wonderful example of learning and growing together through creativity and shared effort.
