Personal Grooming for the Students of Years 1 – 10

Personal Grooming is a fundamental aspect of development in children. It reflects discipline, self-respect and responsibility and helps foster confidence. It promotes hygiene and cleanliness among students and instils habits of self-care and responsibility.

Uniform: Children are expected to attend school in a clean, well-ironed uniform and polished shoes.

Hair: Children’s hair should be neatly tied with fringes above the eyebrows. Hair dyeing, streaking, or tinting is not permitted and regular oiling and washing are encouraged to maintain healthy hair and cleanliness. Hair must be free from nits and lice. If a child is found to have nits or lice, she will be sent home and may return only after complete removal of nits and lice.

Nails: Regular trimming ofnails must be part of the weekly routine. Nails must be short and clean.

Makeup & Jewellery: Makeup, nail polish, and jewellery (except small ear studs) are not allowed.

Books & Bags: Books, bags, and stationery must also be clean and well-maintained.

When all students adhere to these expectations, it supports a healthy and respectful school environment.
