Arrival and Home Time

One of the Core Values of the PECHS Girls’ School is the discipline of regularity and punctuality of all its staff and children.

This rule is non-negotiable and we stand firm in our resolve to instil these values in those associated with us.

Practising punctuality is a valuable habit that demonstrates how serious you are in what you do. Whether it is a casual or professional meeting, being right on time or even a few minutes early, shows how important time is for you and how you show respect and importance to others’ time. It enables us and others to acknowledge the importance and value of time.

Being on time helps you establish a good reputation and builds trust with others. When you’re punctual, others perceive you as organized rather than haphazard or hurried. Our school clocks are synchronized and validated for accuracy every other day; these serve as the time benchmarks.

To help your children learn the value of punctuality and honesty and avoid morning unpleasantness, you’re requested to start the day on time and sync your watches/clocks with Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) online. Your smartphones will provide the correct time. School starts at 7:50 am sharp. To ensure your children participate in the School Assembly, they should arrive before 7:50 am.

Arrival Time

– Gates 1 and 2 are designated for entrance and exit for both staff and students.

– Children arriving in private cars must use Gate 2. Parents should remain seated in their vehicles during drop-off.

– Children in private cars should be ready with their bags and water bottles to exit the car promptly.

– Parents are discouraged from accompanying children during arrival. Meetings with staff require prior appointments. If a meeting is scheduled for the morning, entry will be through Gate 1, and a Visitor Pass must be collected from the Front Desk Officer upon showing the Security Card.

– The school gates shut at 7:50 am sharp and remain shut during school hours to ensure safety and smooth operations.

– Private car children arriving after 7:50 am must report to the Front Desk Office at Gate 1.

– The Late Arrival Policy applies to all children arriving after 7:50 am, regardless of the gate used.

– All latecomers must collect an Entrance Pass from the Front Desk Office before proceeding to class.

Home Time

– We have a Home-Time Policy in place which will ensure that children leave school safely and efficiently. This policy outlines the responsibilities for both the school and the parents. By following these simple guidelines, we hope to create a secure and organised home-time routine for everyone.

– Children’s home time is at 1:30 pm. For children’s safety, teachers are assigned home time duties all over the school: In the corridors, staircases, quadrangle, outdoors in different locations and at Gate 1 and 2. Our Headmistresses are also at both Gates to supervise Home Time.

Procedure for Van Drivers

– Van driver lists are displayed in classrooms. Teachers send children to the quadrangle according to their assigned van time slots.

– Van drivers enter the school in two slots to collect students from the quadrangle.

– Children who regularly go home late are sent to the school’s Day Care Centre after 2:30 pm. This facility ensures adult supervision, allowing children to rest or feel relaxed until their parents arrive.

– Children staying back for any practice sessions must wait in the library after their session ends, under the supervision of the librarian or duty teacher.
