A Memorable Day for Students

Secondary Section In-class Theatre Performances

On November 14, 2024, students of the Secondary Section captivated audiences with their in-class theatre performances, showcasing their talent to peers, primary section pupils and teachers alike. The theatre journey began in October during the flex-fusion period, where students prepared tirelessly, embracing roles in acting, prop creation, costume design, makeup, and in some cases, even directing and critiquing. This collaborative effort highlighted their creativity and dedication, extending learning beyond the academic curriculum.

Students responded to feedback positively, making adjustments wherever needed to refine their performances. They also managed the essential setup and clean-up tasks, which became an integral part of their routine and strengthened their sense of responsibility and teamwork.

Each play centred on meaningful themes, many addressing relevant issues such as kindness, social media misuse, self-confidence, the value of education, positivity, AI misuse, and self-belief. Some notable plays included: The Masks We Wear, Disconnected, Alif Noon, Taaleem-e-Balighan, Anne of Green Gables and The Night of Chaos. Due to their popularity, several plays saw multiple reruns to meet audience demand.

It was a day of joy, learning, and creativity, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy these wonderful moments!
