Job Summary

The Assistant Admin supports the Primary Headmistress in managing the day-to-day operations of the Primary Section (Years 1–5), ensuring smooth administration, effective communication, and alignment with the school’s values and standards.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

– Prior administrative or leadership experience, preferably in a school system

– Professional certification or training in school or office management (desirable)

– Ability to handle multiple projects and processes simultaneously and efficiently

– Proficiency in using computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with email and digital document management systems.-

Experience

-Minimum 3 years of admin experience in a reputable organisation.

Key responsibilities

  1. Assist the Primary Headmistress in all administrative matters to ensure smooth daily operations.
  2. Oversee attendance registers and ensure compliance with related procedures.
  3. Ensure proper implementation of the School’s Behaviour Guidance Policy and other relevant policies.
  4. Facilitate inter/intra-school events and ensure timely distribution of circulars (soft/hard copies).
  5. Communicate with parents regarding administrative concerns via email or written correspondence.
  6. Coordinate demos, interviews, and recruitment tests for prospective teachers.
  7.  Organise, maintain, and update office files and ensure relevant documentation is shared with appropriate staff.
  8. Handle pupil-related matters such as sickbay visits, birthdays, van issues, and library dues
  9. Ensure timely repair, maintenance, and cleanliness of school property and classrooms; manage stationery/materials for teachers.
  10. Assign and supervise teacher duties related to break time, home time, and events.
