Field Trip: Pakistan Maritime Museum

The pupils of Year 2 had a great experience visiting the Pakistan Maritime Museum. They saw models of different ships, weapons used in the 1965 and 1971 wars, the statue of Muhammad bin Qasim and a model of Mohen-jo-Daro. Our pupils were curious and quick to notice things. They asked a lot of questions and were amazed to see the submarine named PNS Hangor (S131). It was purchased from France 50 years ago and added to the Museum in 2002.

It was indeed a great way to learn about our country’s defence system. We later linked it to our Pakistan Day topic in the classroom.
